Ep. 32: We Used to Be Friends
Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 32nd episode of "VideoFuzzy," my twice-monthly progress report on cataloging more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "We Used to Be Friends," my Friday Night Feature highlights "Happy Go Lucky," the run-up to the second season finale of "Veronica Mars," with an affiliated photo set of Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls and others posted to my VideoFuzzy page on Facebook.
In my classic VHS-to-DVD collection, I talk about the second season premiere of "Dead Like Me," episodes of "The 4400," "The Shield" and "Dirt," plus further fond remembrance of Robin Williams in "The Night Listener" from 2006.
Heading into my current direct-to-DVD recordings, I explore some cataloging issues with "Battlestar Galactica" and "We Bare Bears." I rip on CBS Late Show host Stephen Colbert for his derisive dismissal of card readers hacked at fast food chains. Comments on "How the Universe Works," "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency," "Supernatural" and "Trial & Error," and I noted some lulls in storylines in "The Sinner," "Claws," "Preacher," "Dietland" and -- file it under "How the hell did THAT happen?" -- a low-energy entry for the fourth season premiere of "Better Call Saul."
Finally, Spotify has added VideoFuzzy! But weirdly enough, right now it is only searchable under my name, so you can search for that under Terry J. Aman. Enjoy!

Ep. 31: Tearing Into Claws
Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 31st episode of "VideoFuzzy," my twice-monthly progress report on cataloging more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "Tearing into Claws," I talk about the second season of Niecy Nash's "Claws" on TNT.
Also in my direct-to-DVD Current Collection, I discuss the first season finale of "Pose" on FX, the second season of "Trial & Error: Lady, Killer" on NBC and its associated podcast "M Towne: Where Murder Happens," and I take aim at the phenomenon of misdelivered lines.
I messed up and recorded a couple episodes from the 13th season of the CW's "Supernatural" out of order, caught the second-season opener of "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" on BBC America, and watched a few third-season episodes of "Preacher." And I forgot to mention it last time, but I also saw the Mary Magdalene episode of "Forbidden History."
Finally, in Upcoming Shows, "We Bare Bears" has returned with new fourth season episodes on Cartoon Network. Score!

Ep. 30: Exploring Filtered Lives
Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 30th episode of "VideoFuzzy," my twice-monthly progress report on cataloging more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "Exploring Filtered Lives," I talk about Robin Williams' psychological exploration, "The Final Cut" from 2004.
In my Classic Collection, I look at the first season finale of "Criminal Minds," the "Blink" episode of "Doctor Who" and I poke some fun at an episode of "Close to Home." In my Current Collection, I'm caught up with my current direct-to-DVD recordings, which this time included a lost Tom Baker-era episode of "Doctor Who," the second season finale of "Brockmire," and episodes of "South Park" and "Pose," some disturbing themes in "Dietland" and "Legion," some recent missteps on PBS, a few political ads and the second season premiere of "Trial & Error" on NBC.
In What I've Been Watching, in this past month Ralph and I took in the Medora Musical in Medora, North Dakota, the local Capitol Shakespeare production of "Richard the Third," and on a recent road trip, my friend Nathan Irwin stood us to an outstanding production of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" in Normal, Ill., more information on that here.
While there, I chatted with Nathan about some of my early adventures in archiving while at college, some of that conversation featured in my Video Outreach segment. Along with serving as program director for WCBU public radio in Peoria, Nathan lends his voice and considerable insight to the weekly "Out and About" podcast, with more about that here.
Finally, I included a show-so-far on my archiving progress in my By the Numbers segment, and debuted my Upcoming Shows segment highlighting new seasons of "Better Call Saul" on AMC and "Sinner" on USA, and dismissing CBS productions "FBI" and "God Friended Me."
